Aims and Objectives

Natural Research Ltd (NR) is a research charity registered in Scotland (SC 030363), whose mission is to "conduct objective research to underpin the wise management of wildlife resources".

Natural Research (Projects) Ltd

Natural Research (Projects) Ltd (Company number: SC213640) (NR(P)) is a subsidiary of Natural Research that shares its mission but conducts commercial research. Profits from Natural Research (Projects) are annually passed to Natural Research to fund independent non-commercial research on a variety of topics.

How we work

The shared aims and objectives of NR and NR(P) are achieved by providing high quality, objective research capabilities for our commercial clients, funding our own research and studies by other researchers whose results will support wise management of wildlife resources, and teaming with industry, research and conservation agencies, individuals and government on research.   Our board comprises people with experience in wildlife research, academia, conservation, business, and the law - a broad expert-base upon which the companies rely.   In order to promote objectivity and bolster our own expertise, we often solicit outside help when deciding upon research priorities, designing and conducting our research, and analysing data.

Staff

Natural Research and Natural Research (Projects) employ a range of ecologists, biologists, field and office personnel with expertise in wildlife assessment and research, especially where rare and dispersed bird species are involved. Obviously, the quality of our work is linked closely to the quality of our employees.   In all aspects of our work we seek and have the pleasure of employing people of the highest calibre.   By doing so we ensure that the products we produce, whether commercial or non-commercial, are of the highest quality.
